Bakmi GM (Formerly known as BAKMI GAJAH MADA) is undisputedly serves the most famous and very commercial taste of mie ayam. And, actually Bakmi GM has a long history in the Indonesian mie ayam space. The restaurant was established in 1959 by a married couple named Tjhai Sioe and Loei Kwai Fong . The first branch opened in Melawai in 1971 – even before I was born. Bakmi GM now has outlets across the nation and serves over 30,000 customers per day. Thinking back, I think the restaurant has two amazing traits that serves as a strong gravitational pull: 1) addictive commercial taste and 2) affordable price.

This shop is a branch nested on the upper floor of the Electronic City SCBD. I don’t think I have to explain the taste of the menus here – You probably already know the highly-addictive taste of Bakmi GM. The balance of the chicken oil, sweet soy sauce, chili and MSG is so perfect that the shop has been around for decades and still remains their favorite go-to place. Oh, by the way, let’s not forget the fire aftertaste of the goreng dishes. Simple quick bite for solo lunch havers.
