Dressed in white, Plataran Menteng had some classic Europe-meets-Asia vibe to the place. In their website, it says “Plataran Menteng occupies a three-story Dutch colonial house” which is the reason why we didn’t feel like we are at a restaurant – rather a home.
Food was less dramatic compared to the venue itself. They lacked the awesome vibe of the interior (but maybe that was due to the high base effect). My candid take is that there was no “wow” factor inside the mouth; only in my eyes. Among the dishes we had, the best dish was the fried fish with mango salad on top.
