Akar is definitely a hidden gem. It’s one of the few Indonesian fusion shops where the owner has put heaps of thoughts into the making of the dishes. I would highly endorse the Rendang 48 (juicy thick short ribs marinated for 2 days with amazingly sugary rendang sauce) and the Laksa Udang Galah (coconut soup was rich with seafood flavor).
