Update August 2025 on grill action
Our recent visit to Man Su Jung 만수정 was again a delightful experience. We didn’t have any doubt on the quality of the food as we have already visited this shop several times. Their grilled eels 장어 were top class and I don’t think there would be any shops in Korea that can match the quality of Man Su Jung 만수정.
This time around, we tried to focus on the grilling process of the eel 장어. We observed 11 flips and grills before the eel 장어 was served to us. It’s a long tedious process, however, that is the quality that Man Su Jung 만수정 promises. The lady who was doing the grilling was a professional. She knew exactly what she needed to do at this stage and she was juggling multiple tables at once.
The end product was a beautifully grilled eels 장어 to perfection. Crispy at the outside and juicy on the inside. We recommend you to try both the salted version and the sauced version.
