[KR] Changgo43 창고43 Samsung @ Glass Tower, Seoul

We re-visited Changgo43 창고43 during our latest trip to Seoul and our dining experience ended with full satisfaction. The quality of the meat was spectacular (as always) and the meat simply melted in your mouth. They serve quality Hanwoo (Korean Beef). Price point is a challenge (basic KRW46,000 per portion), but the quality justifies the luxury price.

The Hanwoo (한우), also Hanu or Korean Native, is a breed of small cattle native to Korea. It was formerly used as a working animal, but is now raised mainly for meat. It is one of four indigenous Korean breeds, the others being the Chikso [ko], the Heugu [ko] and the Jeju Black.

We also ordered pan fried sliced beef and beef tartar for appetizers. As a beef specialty store, their beef menus were always satisfactory. Our Indonesian guests loved the pan fried beef slices.

Best menu here is

  • Changgo Korean Beef Special 창고스페샬
  • Pan fried sliced beef 반달육전
