[TH] Hanok 한옥 Korean bbq Pattaya @ Pattaya Beach, Pattaya

Hanok KBBQ Pattaya (한옥) is strategically located along Pattaya Beach, an area with heavy foot traffic throughout the day. We visited just before sunset and found plenty of space for walk-ins. However, once evening set in, the restaurant quickly filled up with diners. The exterior blends traditional Korean architectural elements with a modern design, creating an inviting first impression. Inside, our family especially enjoyed the bright, clean, and comfortable atmosphere.

Coming from a Muslim-majority country, we were craving pork, and Hanok KBBQ Pattaya truly delivered. We ordered the samgyeopsal (삼겹살, pork belly) and hangjeongsal (항정살, pork cheek), and were impressed by the exceptional quality. The meat was extremely fresh, with no unpleasant smell at all. The presentation was also charming, featuring neatly cut parsley and the restaurant’s name engraved on a slice of mushroom.

Between the two, we preferred the samgyeopsal—crispy on the outside and wonderfully juicy on the inside. The haemul sundubu (해물순두부) was another highlight, made with fresh seafood that elevated the dish. While the jeyuk bokkeum (제육볶음) wasn’t our favorite, it was still well-seasoned and free from any strong odor.

The biggest surprise of the meal was the kimchi (김치). Made in-house, its quality rivals that of top-tier Korean restaurants in Korea—an impressive finishing touch to an already satisfying dining experience.

Definitely a 5-star restaurant. Whenever we are in Pattaya, this is our go-to place for authentic Korean food. The quality, consistency, and overall dining experience make it stand out among Korean restaurants in the area.

Thailand is well known for high-quality pork, and Hanok KBBQ Pattaya makes excellent use of it. The pork dishes are especially impressive—fresh, well-prepared, and cooked to perfection. If you’re visiting for the first time, I would highly recommend focusing on their pork menu.
