Update on August 29, 2025

It’s been ages since I last visited the place. The last time visited this place was in 2017 and the name was Meat Man Nikuo. Now it has changed it’s name to ‘Eightman Ramen Restaurant’

The exterior and interior haven’t changed that much. And, I didn’t feel too much has changed on the food either. It was a quick lunch gathering and we had ramen and the unagi don. Portion looked small at first glance, but once you start digging into the dish, it’s quite a decent portion, in my view. I was impressed with the unagi don as the pricing was very reasonable compared to the other shops nearby. Overall, seasoning was quite controlled and there weren’t too much umami kick on both dishes. The fried gyoza was a slight disappointment due to its small size (the really looked like mini gyoza), but the juice and meat were there.

in a nutshell, Meat Man Nikuo is compact but full of flavor. Meat Man has the Japanese thoughts embedded into the restaurant. Well-done interior and ambience. Overall, food was good, but for the sashimi, I’ve had better. Sushi would be a better choice here. Pork dishes were quite good, beef was below expectations, but kimchi was fresh and crisp.
