Gukjesijang 국제시장 serves Haejang-guk 해장국 made of Sunji 선지 (sliced congealed ox blood or black pudding-like cubes). The soup is thick and full of spices that were supposedly used to block the smell of cow blood. This soup is also called the hangover soup – which is intended to chase off the hangover from the night’s hard drink out. I don’t consider this place to be the best Haejang-guk 해장국, but it was good enough to chase off my fatigue.
