[ID] Kyoten Jakarta @ Bumi Pakubuwono, Jakarta

Kyoten Jakarta is located on the ground floor of “the happening” Bumi Pakubuwono. At first glance, its minimalistic interior captivates you as you walk through the corridor into the main hall. They had a lot of sake bottles on display, however, Kyoten’s list of sakes were very limited. Most of the value-for-money sakes were unavailable during our visit.

Well, on to the food. I think Kyoten’s sushi was well above par. Fish cuts were fresh without the fishy smell. The sushi platter had a good mix with raw and grilled proteins and they were nicely presented. Grilled tenderloin was a bit overdone vs. our request of medium. However, I did enjoy their curry salt. The quality of the meat was good. Skewers were also above the industry average. Each item was large in portion and perfectly grilled with nice fire taste to it.

I would always revisit for more.
