Bo Young Mandu 보영만두 has history in Suwon. The original shop was established in 1977 and still stands as one of the most favored mandu 만두 shops in Suwon area. First impression of the shop is that it is small. 미and has a similar layout compared to other bunshik 분식 shops. All the menus were below the psychological threshold of KRW10,000 which I think is strategically positioned as the restaurant for the mass.

Now for the food. In a nutshell, jjolmyeon 쫄면 was not my thing. I still don’t understand why you eat noodle with veggies and thick spicy sauce, only (i.e., no protein). You can choose the spiciness level at the time of order but we were happy with the lowest level.
We ordered two versions of their mandus 만두 – gogi goon mandu 고기군만두 (fried meat dumpling) and gogi jjin mandu 고기찐만두 (steamed meat dumpling). If we were to re-order just one more, it would be the gogi goon mandu 고기군만두. The outer skin of the gogi goon mandu 고기군만두 was crisp and thin and inside was full of minced meat. Just beware of the hot meat juice at the bite.
