Our visit to Jeju Halmangdonga 재주할망돈가 was a good one. I recall attempting to visit the place a couple of years back but couldn’t make it as it was overly crowded. That’s why, this time around, we visited the place much earlier than the usual dinner time. Luckily, it was practically empty.

The waitress recommended samgyeopsal 삼겹살 for our dinner. The first impression was that the meat was thick. The waitress was kind enough to grill the meat for us, given this was our first visit. It took us some waiting before the waitress started chopping the big fat meat. At first, the sliced meat chunks revealed its pink inner skin but was soon grilled to reach the brownish tanned perfection. Each meat chunk was crispy on the outside and crazily juicy inside. Get some vegetables and wrap up the meat, and you have the best samgyeopsal 삼겹살 experience in the world.
We finished our meal with bibim naengmyeon 비빔냉면. There wasn’t any surprises here, but maybe it was because the samgyeopsal 삼겹살 experience was simply too overwhelming. Bibim naengmyeon 비빔냉면 was just the way you would expect in any restaurant.
So, would we come back? Hell yeah! We would come back for more…
