Jjamppong Ildo 짬뽕일도 was a hidden Chinese restaurant in Mangpo 망포. It seemed like they were overly proud of their Jjamppong 짬뽕 dish evident by the name of the restaurant that had jjamppong 짬뽕 included in their name and the large Jjamppong 짬뽕 pictures displayed on the wall.

Indeed, memorable was their flagship menu – Jjamppong 짬뽕. The soup was amazingly thick and creamy. It wasn’t as spicy as the visual would otherwise suggest however, you can select the spiciness at the time of the order. There wasn’t any surprise to their shrimp fried rice 새우볶음밥 and their Jjangmyeon 짜장면. The last menu on our table was Tangsuyuk 탕수육. Now this was a big surprise! The pork cuts were super thick and they had some distinctive sugary taste. At the bite you would probably take a look at the Tangsuyuk 탕수육 piece. One advice to the shop is they should have two versions of the Tangsuyuk 탕수육 – small and large. They only have one size and it was too large portion our 3-member team.
