The omakase place
Located in the commercial-residential mix complex in Nonhyun-dong 논현둥,Kobune is a tiny Japanese omakase place. The shop has 9 counter seats and a table for four at the back. Kobune is a good place for intimate dining with a partner. We (3 pax) went there for business dinner and had a bit of a trouble discussing at the counter. The interior had a premium touch.

The food
Portion was big. Considering the price of dinner course was KRW160,000 per pax, I think price and value seem balanced. Ingredients were fresh and fish cuts were very nicely marinated. The main chef was a performer with big moves in the making of the food. Seasoning was perfect and there was no need for sauce-dipping.
Verdict
Will definitely come back. This is a place for an intimate date. There is only one menu for lunch and dinner.
