The Venue

Steps from Exit 5 of Digital Media City Station, this sprawling red-brick building crowned with a glowing neon sign is impossible to miss. A lantern-lined garden path leads to heavy wooden doors, dressed in pumpkins and friendly ghosts for Halloween during our visit.

Inside, the space is far bigger than it looks from the street. One wing recreates a cobblestoned New York alley, complete with vintage signs and a retro Coca-Cola fridge. Another offers moody dining halls with exposed ducts, dark wood tables, cane-back chairs and bold pop art. A vaulted, chandelier-lit corridor with checkered tiles ties it all together. Private rooms upstairs and on-site parking make it ideal for dates, family dinners and group gatherings.

The Food Review

The star is the signature Ghee Butter T-Bone, a 700g Black Angus prime cut finished tableside with hot ghee poured over it. The sizzle is pure theatre, and the reward is a juicy, rosy medium-rare steak with deep, nutty richness.

Pasta is the other headliner. The mentaiko cream pasta with black tiger prawns is silky and savoury, while the zuppa di pesce arrives as a bold tomato stew loaded with abalone, octopus and prawns. Regulars also rave about the shrimp bisque pasta and the generous, garlic-packed aglio olio.

Supporting dishes kept things pleasant: chipotle shrimp gambas with baguette, a Cajun salad with crispy chicken tenders, and a thin-crust margherita pizza. Don’t skip the warm bread with sweet garlic butter. Tip: the set menus offer the best value for steak lovers.

The Verdict

Stay564 New York Strip Edition turned a casual detour into a memorable dinner. Come for the jaw-dropping interiors, stay for the ghee butter steak and pasta, and you won’t leave disappointed.
